More cladding news – new online remediation tracking service

Published: 27/01/2022

On 20 January 2022 the UK Government launched a new high-rise buildings remediation tracking service designed to speed up the process of removing unsafe non-ACM (aluminium composite material) cladding from the highest risk buildings.
It is hoped the new service will force building owners to be more transparent and expose those who have failed to act in regard to the safety of their buildings.
Using a unique code, leaseholders will be able to track the progress of their building’s application through an online service where the information will be updated monthly. This code should be provided by the building’s owners but may also come directly from the Government.
